Visit to One of the most beautiful Hill stations in MP-Pachmarhi.
Pachmarhi is really a beautiful place. To reach Pachmarhi there is a train from Ahmedabad railway station to Pipariya, the nearest railway station to Pachmarhi, which takes approximately 17 hours. Pipariya is 50 kms away from hotel Highland park. It takes approx. 1 hr 30 mins. The hotel is very well maintained with well furnished rooms; badminton court; garden including swings, slides; cycles for rent as well as its own bus for sightseeing.Places to visit :-
1) Jatashankar - It is 400 ft. down. A statue of Lord Shiva is there which is made by Adivasi people. There is a stone which looked like face of Ganesha and similarly like a tiger. There is also a tree which is like Ohm.2) Handi Khoh - It is named after a Britisher Handi. He fall 300 ft. down which was later called Handi Khoh.
3) Gupt Mahadev - A cave has idol of Lord Ganesha and Shiv Lingam. The cave is very narrow so one has to walk sideways to reach inside. Only one person can walk inside or outside at a time.
4) Bada Mahadev - This is also a place with Mahadev's statue. There is a stream of natural water forming holy pool. It is believed that it removes all sins if taken bath in that pool.
5) Pandav Caves - There are many caves where Pandavas stayed during their hiding period. There are rooms for each of them. First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth rooms are there for Yudhishthira, Bheema, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva respectively.
7) Apsara Vihar/Panchali Kund - There is waterfall at this place. As the name suggests, Panchali Kund which means the water coming from five places.
8) Silver Fall - The water is falling from Handi Khoh. The water is looking like silver so it is called silver fall.
9) Bee Fall - We need to travel 400 m down to reach the bee fall. There are two falls, one is located 100 m and another at 400 m from the point. Water is flowing from waterfall at 100 m. There are many small fishes. If we sit in water, fishes would come and eat dead skin of legs which is gives effect like pedicure and manicure.
10) Rich Gadh - Rich means bear and Gadh means caves. Many bears were living there. There are many caves inside the cave. There is eco-point outside the caves.
11) Dhoop/Dhup Gadh - Dhup Gadh is one of the highest peak of Madhya Pradesh. It looks very beautiful at the time of sunset. It also looks like Black Mountain. This is the best place to view sunset so it is also called "SUNSET POINT".
